About the Artist
Gutless Wonder resides between dimensions searching for answers and leaving marks along the way. They are a new world explorer who exists between the realm of pixels and the physical world.
They believe in being the change that you want to see and this fuels their ferocious optimism in the ever-changing world.
Education and Skills
Gutless Wonder was awarded a distinction in their Art Foundation at Falmouth University and went on to study a BA Hons in Fine Art. Over the course of the Fine Art degree they became increasingly fascinated by the possibility of the computer as a tool for creating artworks. This fascination led Gutless Wonder to study an MA in 3D Computer Animation where they developed sculpting and painting skills using 3D Computer softwares. After graduating with a distinction from the Masters at Bournemouth University, Gutless Wonder gained a place at the first ever Pictoplasma Academy in Berlin where she was immersed in a series of intense workshops on developing characters. Gutless Wonder’s practice since graduation has been communicating fine art concepts through imaginary characters and worlds.
Since studying, Gutless Wonder has spent time living in Berlin, Paris and currently resides in London.
Their softwares of choice are ZBrush and Cinema 4D. Other softwares used regularly in their art are Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender and when using a PC – Autodesk Softimage and Mari.
Although much of the work produced by Gutless Wonder is created using a computer, they still spend a lot of time enjoying drawing in a sketch book, sculpting with clay, photography, screen printing and sometimes even knitting!
